No more flooded basements!!!!!
Today we had the pine tree removed that had been clogging our drainage system each summer causing our basement to flood. Now that the ground has thawed out we were able to have it removed. I can't say I'm excited to experience the first thunderstorm post-pine tree but at least I wont have to unclog the gutters and downpipes in the middle of the night anymore.
WOW! The two pictures of Emma standing there really show the perspective of how the space is now open. Now you have a blank slate to play w/ in your side yard.

I'm so glad that you won't have to deal with a flooded basement every summer. That's no fun! But, sad though to have to lose the tree. We had to cut down three trees in our yard last spring. Sad day, but it's all good. Once you get used to the change you'll have a hard time remembering what is was like when the tree was ther.

I bet it's a huge relief now that it's gone huh? But sad at the same time. We had a nearly 60 yr old HUGE tree dropped two summers ago and it was so sad and changed the entire backyard...the neighborhood too. But it was actually a danger to keep it. Yeah for no more clogged gutters!!
